FABLAB- Dhahran is a digital fabrication laboratory located in King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals where you can turn your ideas into reality by using digital fabrication equipment to create prototypes.
FABLAB is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to promote innovation and creativity. A FABLAB, or fabrication laboratory, is a creative space where innovators are provided with resources to create, design and produce their dream ideas. The first FABLAB was introduced in 2001, and to date there are 978 FABLABs across the world.
FABLAB features a laser cutter, CNC machine, vinyl cutter, molding and milling machine, a 3D printer, and a variety of machines for manufacturing electronics and robots.
Its digital manufacturing workshops aim to offer a rich manufacturing experience where you can learn the basics of prototyping from coming up with an idea, designing it, and producing it.
