The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture Announces Contemporary Art Competition to Fuel Saudi Artists’ Passion

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture, an initiative by Saudi Aramco, has launched an arts competition for Saudi artists in collaboration with Art Dubai and will offer the winning artist the opportunity to display their work at the biggest art fair in the Middle East, Art Dubai 2018, as well as also including the winning artwork in the prestigious permanent collection at the Center. This collaboration with Art Dubai is part of the Center’s efforts to continuously foster local talent within knowledge, creativity and innovation and to promote cross-cultural exchange between innovative environments in the region.
The announcement of this competition comes with the launch of the 11th edition of the Art Dubai fair, which will officially open its doors from March 15th until the 18th at Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai. The four-day fair will be held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai.
