Ithra Library is designed to offer the visitor a highly engaging and interactive learning experience. With specialized staff and user-friendly technology, the visitor will immerse in the library’s educational offerings.
Since it’s opening, the Library has a total of 220,000 books both in Arabic and English, with room for another 500,000 books in addition to 2 million ebooks, periodicals and reports from its digital archive.
The library offers specialized advice related to further and higher education as well as hosting literature related events, lectures and seminars that will invite prominent literary figures both locally and globally. Cultural initiatives such as the national iRead competition, which promotes a love of reading and literature across the nation, will be hosted alongside lectures and seminars by distinguished writers and thought leaders.
The library collection is dynamic and will continue to evolve to serve the public, the Library comprise four floors; Children and Multimedia Floor, Social Floor, General Knowledge Floor and Research Floor.
The library’s collection of content is dynamic and ever expanding and aims to contribute to the Kingdom’s knowledge economy through its impact on visitors, analysis and research. The Center’s Library is an interactive experience rather than simply a vast series of shelves full of books.
